At the moment, usage of wooden products, as a reusable resource, draws a lot of attention in Scandinavia’s market. Not only it helps to reach strict ecological requirements set by EU, but also allows to use wooden structures surface as a final decoration.
Arena Gate – is a 250 rooms hotel (3 floors) which will be built on the roof of already existing hotel’s roof (400 rooms). This project is combined of the largest shopping center in Scandinavia, multi functional sports arena “Friends” and “Quality Hotel” with one of the biggest conference rooms in Sweden.
Because the additional part of the hotel is being built on the roof of the old one, our Client have made a decision to use cross laminated timber structures as they are 3-4 times lighter than concrete.
Scope of works:
3 600 m2 wood-glass facade elements, which are produced and fully assembled in “Lignas” factory;
2 200 m3 CLT and Glulam elements;
1 900 m2 composite overlay panels of CLT and Glulam, rock wool, airtight plaster are fully finished and prepared in “Lignas” factory.
360 m2 solid glass facades, which will expand hotel’s breakfast hall.
We have 16 months to finish all the works on site.
We believe that this project will become a strong argument and evidence of a long term company’s success to the investors that the decision, which was made back in 2014: to go to CLT construction sector, was purposeful and correct.
